摘要

Numerous cases of tenosynovitis have appeared in France since 2011, causing high morbidity in free-range and standard broilers. Viral arthritis and tenosynovitis caused by avian reovirus (ARV) in broilers is well described. However, in the past 20 years, only a few studies have been described that included detailed flock data in combination with molecular characterisation of the virus. This study reports outbreaks of AFV induced viral tenosynovitis, even though parent stocks were vaccinated accordingto accepted protocols. Production data for broiler flocks are reported and the virus isolates were characterised serologically and genetically. The aim of this study was to link data from breeders with those of broiler flocks in order to inform future strategies to prevent reovirus-induced tenosynovitis.
