Beauty marketers are thinking more about water and its role in their products and targeting innovations to consumers who want customization, greater control over their product experience or simply a brand that stands apart, according to Mintel Group Ltd. In an April 17 presentation at in-cosmetics in Paris, Global Skin Care Analyst Chris Lindsley said consumer demand for personalized beauty products has driven a 228% increase in launches claiming to be customizable - from fewer than 30 in 2011 to more than 90 in 2012.
