Emeryville, Calif.-based renewable chemicals firm announces Oct. 28 a partnership with household and personal-care products firm Method Products to develop renewable ingredients. Amyris and Method will develop ingredients derived from Biofene, Amyris' renewable farnesene made from plant sugars, such as surfactants and solvents "to deliver environmentally friendly products with uncompromising performance," Amyris says.
