Robots Represent Future Of Toxicological Testing, Agencies Say

The National Institutes of Health and EPA are collaborating on a "high throughput" toxicology testing method that could replace animal assays with high-speed, automated screening robots, the agencies announced Feb. 14. Under a recently signed memorandum of understanding, the project will span five years and will leverage the strengths of each agency to research, develop and validate the new method.
