Profit in Industrial Enterprises Increased

According to the information released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on March 27th,in the first two months of 2007 industrial enterprises with an annual output value of over RMB5.0 million accomplished a profit of RMB293.2 billion,an increase of 43.8% over the same period of 2006.In the first two months of 2007,the profit contributed by the iron and steel sector was 3.6 times higher than the same period of 2006 that suffered a profit drop of 74.6%.The growth of profit was 80.1% for the chemical raw material and chemical product manufacturing sector and 57.3% for the coal sector.
