A new document that explains how the NHS and Department of Health will deliver the NHS Improvement Plan indicates that there is increasing support for pharmacy-based services,according to a member of the NHS health and social care leadership network.Beth Taylor,principal pharmacist for Community Health London and South East Specialist Pharmacy Services,said that pharmacists should be aware of the direction being taken by the Government and the opportunities that are being created through its policies on patient choice and a patient-centred NHS."There is a move away from a top-driven NHS with much more local decision-making," she said.
