Merger talks between Glaxo Wellcome Plc and Bristol-Myers Squibb Inc have been called off, according to newspaper reports. If combined, the two would have been the world's largest pharmaceutical company with sales of #20.3 bn, equivalent to an 8.1 per cent share of the world pharmaceutical market.
