The British pharmaceutical industry provides opportunities for pharmacists to follow a variety of career paths in the research, development, manufacture and sale of medicines. Many other disciplines are also well qualified for this and competition for posts is intense. Adegree in pharmacy does not confer preferential treatment in the selection procedure, but it puts the holder of it well in the frame.
