Pretreatment with clopidogrel in patients with recent ST-segment elevation myocar-dial infarction (STEMI) undergoing a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) reduces the incidence of cardiovascular death or ischaemic complications without a significant increase in bleeding,researchers suggest.
