On June 26 pharmacists from around the world will gather in Liverpool to celebrate the sesquicentenary of the Liverpool school of pharmacy, writes Christine Clark.A daytime convention in the Peter Jost Enterprise Centre, the university's purpose-built conference venue, will be followed by a gala dinner at the historic St George's Hall. The President ofthe Royal Pharmaceutical Society will attend the celebrations and the university will honour its former student, Miss Ann Lewis, the Society's Secretary and Registrar, with the award of an honorary fellowship. A watercolour painting of the school by a local artist, George Thompson, will be unveiled b the longest-repistered past Liverpool student in attendance.
