It's mid-July and summer is in full swing. Boaters are boating, fishermen are fishing, gourmands are grilling, and nearly everyone within 50 miles of a lake or an ocean is heading to the beach. Meanwhile, people at work are daydreaming about boating, fishing, grilling, and visiting the beach. Statistically speaking, this is a good time to put a little additional emphasis on safety at home and in the workplace. The National Safety Council cites July as 11 percent more hazardous than an average month. The Department of Labor notes that June, July, and August tend to be the top three months for workplace accidents.
