What do Tom Brady, Katy Perry, and most of the advertisers who put up big bucks on Super Bowl Sunday have in common? You could argue that they took the path of least resistance. Tom Brady took a snap as time was running out, and rather than execute a play, he took a knee. No sense in jeopardizing a sure win at that point. Katy Perry could have worn something daring, but apparently she didn't want to run the risk of a wardrobe malfunction. And the advertisers? Nationwide ruffled a few feathers, but for the most part the commercials were not controversial. Most were barely memorable.
