Mark Twain called golf a good walk spoiled. I'd guess that every golfer feels that way from time to time, but it's usually temporary. Despite the game's ability to frustrate even the most seasoned and well-practiced players on occasion, to many it maintains its allure. When all goes well, a golf game combines a relaxing walk, beautiful scenery, nice weather, camaraderie, and, yes, the challenge of putting a 1.68-in. ball into a 4.25-in. cup.
