Lubricant developer Ike Tripp dies

Isaac Tripp III, better known as Ike Tripp Sr., 76, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, died Dec. 3, 2002. Tripp dedicated his career to developing new metal forming lubricants, particularly for ferrous and nonferrous tube drawing. He was an active member in several professional organizations, including the Wire Association International, the Institute for Metalforming, and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He was a member of the Extrusion and Drawing Committee for ASM and a director of the American Tube Association, now known as the Tube & Pipe Association, International~R (TPA). In 2000 Tripp received the TPA Lifetime Membership Award for his years of dedicated service to the tube and pipe industry.
