Lubricating gel provides alternative to paste lubricant

Irmco has introduced a gel-type lubricant for tube bending operations. An alternative to paste lubricants, the gel has the same metalworking characteristics as paste lubricants regarding material adhesion, tool performance, and cost efficiency, according to the company. The gel is designed to provide a consistent film barrier on a variety of metals. It requires no mixing or agitation and can be applied with an automated in-tool application system. A clear material, it allows for visual inspection.
