Record number of attendees for first FABTECH of the 21st century

More than 18,300 eager metal fabricating professionals attended FABTECH International at Cleveland's I-X Center November 14-16, 2000. They came with questions to ask, problems to solve, parts to produce, and RFPs to quote. The 696 exhibiting companies that occupied 267,280 square feet of exhibit space did not disappoint. They met with customers right through the closing bell on November 16, which heralded the end of the year's largest North American metal forming and fabricating exposition.FABTECH International 2000 featured nearly 6 million pounds of metal forming and fabricating equipment, including bending, folding, coil processing, controls and computer systems, cutting, finishing, lasers, punching, and roll forming. Exhibitors were grouped within technology pavilions that highlighted tube and pipe producing and fabricating, welding technologies, stamping technologies, and forming and fabricating technologies to make it easier for attendees to find what they needed.
