Tail biting and tail docking in pigs

摘要

A study was carried out in evaluate the effect of tail docking on behaviour following clocking, using different methods and to determine the effect of tail docking on the physical structure of the tail. This study was prompted to investigate the verylimited study of Simonsen et al (1991) who showed the presence of neuromas in the docked tails.
