A view from the outside

In March 2007 the Society revised the Appointments Memorandum and introduced a section of articles onpsychology as a career. This has includedinterviews with practising psychologists;accounts of students' experiences;discussion pieces on major policyinitiatives; and more in-depth looks atspecific job vacancies. These articles havegrown into a more than 100,000-wordanthology, dealing with every branch ofpsychology as it is practised – and one ortwo areas I didn't know existed. So whatpicture does this collection paint ofpsychology, and what important recurringthemes have I noticed?
