Dongkuk Steel Incheon Works to Become Advance Base of Long Products

Dongkuk Steel plans to make its Inchoen Work a new advance base of its long products for the west coast age. The company said that it is considering making its full-scale facility investment in the streamlining works of the superannuated facilities at the plant in accordance with the instruction by its CEO Kim Young-chul who recently visited the works. Even though nothing has been fixed so far for its facility investment plan, the company is known to be considering streamlining the whole steelmaking and rolling facilities. In this connection, local electric finance industry is foreseeing that Dongkuk Steel will give its first priority to the replacement of its 30-ton class electric furnace which has low efficiency.
