Lead Price Continuously Rises, Outpacing Zinc Price

International market price for lead is continuously surging. Lead price outstripped aluminum price in July, getting out of the lowest level on the London Metal Exchange (LME) and has extended an upward trend since then, while zinc price, which has continued to be on the decrease since May, marked 3,200 US dollars per ton on August 23 on the spot market of the LME. Even thereafter, zinc price dropped further to the level of 3,000 US dollars per ton, while lead price has continuously stretched an upward curve, getting ahead of zinc price for the first time on the international metal market. In January this year, a price gap between lead and zinc wasmore than 1,000 US dollars per ton.
