Expecting to help customers cut production cost and improve productivity. POSCO is planning to begin in the second half of this year its full-scale sales of the newly developed wire rods that the company has developed to reduce heat-treatment time in spheroidized annealing work with its advanced technology of controlling rolling and cooling steel products. The company explained that the new products, carbon steel to reduce heat-treatment time, which will be put into the market this time under the item code of 'POSCM-435C,' will be used mainly for the production of wires for cold heading and cold forging and bars for shafts. The new carbon steel products can reduce consumers' spheroidizing time by improving shape and distribution of carbide through controlled rolling and cooling technology.
