POSCO Terminal Breaks Ground for CTS Yard Construction

Planning to make investment of a total of 29.3 billion won to handle 3 million tons of coal and iron ore per year. POSCO Terminal Co. broke ground July 1 for the construction of a large-scale central terminal system (CTS) at a reclaimed area at the Gwangyang Works of POSCO. The CTS yard, which commenced the construction work July 1 at a site of 118,800 square meters with the timetable for completion by October 2005, will be capable of handling about 3 million tons of coal and iron ore per year. The investment in this CTS construction work will be 29.3 billion won and POSCO E & C has become responsible for the supply of facilities and the construction of the terminal.
