Steel Industry Development Committee to Work Out Measures to Improve Steel Industry's Competitiveness

The Steel Industry Development Committee held a meeting on April11 at the conference room of the Korean Steel & Iron Association (KOSA) in order to review the current statues of local steel industry's competitiveness and work out the strategic measures to reform the steel industry. At the meeting, Koh Gwang-pil, an assistant junior official at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE), Park Ki-hong, POSCO Senor Director and a lot of executives from other steelmakers in the charge of corporate planning were present together with many steel industry-related experts to discuss the ways to upgrade the competitiveness of local steel industry through the micro analysis on it.
