China Faced with Frustration in Supply of Product-type Raw Materials for Aluminum

China's exports of product-type raw materials for aluminum, which have brought about a gust of wind in the market for raw materials in Korea, are faced with frustration. It is because that the Chinese government has recently cancelled the export rebates of aluminum billets that have led the China's exports of product-type raw materials,, substituting aluminum ingot in the Korea market. Chinese government announced on June 19 a list of nonferrous metals including 8 items of aluminum products including billets, extruded items and wire rods affected by the latest cancellation of its export rebates. Among those aluminum products, aluminum billets have awakened the highest interest of aluminum industries both at home and abroad in the contents of the export rebateadjustment.
