Stainless Steel Service Centers Enter Unlimited Competition Age

With the disappearance of regional division, the unlimited competition age of local stainless steel service centers has come on a full scale. In Korea, stainless steel service centers began operation in 1996 together with the appearance of Shinkwang and NK Steel. POSCO made investment in the foundation of Shinkwang in the Gyeonggi-Incheon area and NK Steel in Busan to efficiently meet the demand from small and mid-size consumers by having them handle the rear process of its cold-rolling plant for those consumers.
