Thank you for the excellent forum article in the May-June issue expressing four views related to internet mineral sales. All four of the panel members presented very valid points and a careful reading of the article points out both the benefits and pitfalls of this emerging area of our hobby. There are three comments that I would like to make regarding the article. First: It is not correct to say that Jordi, Rob and John were the first mineral dealers to offer websites devoted primarily to the direct sale of minerals. I have no idea who was first, but I can tell you that Jendon Minerals opened a website devoted primarily to the direct sale of minerals in 1989...a bit more that ten years ago. It simply was not promoted in publications in the manner of the more aggressive dealers.
