Prehnite and Zeolite distribution in the Orange Mountain Basalt Paterson, New Jersey

Museum-quality prehnite and zeolites are found in the Jurassic Orange Mountain traprock quarries of the Paterson area. The secondary mineral precipitation was controlled by volcanic structures including pillow voids, lava tubes, vesicular flow tops, diapirs, large lower flow vesicles and fault planes.
