Technology has changed the way educational resources are delivered as the Internet has become a popular medium for knowledge transfer. Healthcare practitioners and educators are increasingly utilizing the Internet to obtain educational information.1 The use of web-based resources for NP education is advocated for promoting enhanced oppor-knowledge and performance.5 The benefits of e-learning include increased control over content learning sequencing, pace, time spent on learning activities, and enhanced media tailored to the student's personal learning style.5 These resources can be easily integrated into NP educational programs. Several methods of e-learning (self-paced tutorials, webcasts, podcasts, and interactive learning modules) are available on the Internet. Comparisons between and NP educators in the acute care special interest group of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties for web-based learning resources used in clinical practice and education.
