摘要

Salinity in general found to affect germination adversely in cucurbits but in genotypes Chakai special (Cucurbita pepo L.); NBH Harit (Momordica charantia L) and Mohini (Cucumis sativus L) significant increase in germination percentage was noticed; Root and shoot lengths and total dry matter production (TDM) were found decreasing with the increasing salt concentrations in all the genotypes under study. Growth in all genotypes under study seems affected adversely with the increasing salt concentrations up to 6ECe but higher concentration of salt i.e., 9ECe favours growth in most of the genotypes.
