摘要

The effect of growth regulators such as Indole 3-Butyric Acid (IBA) and Naphthalene Acetic Acid(NAA) in different concentrations (100-1000 ppm)were studied for the rooting initiation of stem cuttingsof V 1 mulberry variety an economically importanttree essential for sericulture. A substantial increase inthe percentage of rooting was observed by treatingwith IBA and NAA. All the concentrations of IBA andNAA showed more percentage of rooting compared tocontrol. Maximum percentage of rooting (94%) wasobserved in IBA at 600 ppm only. The parameters likenumber of adventitious roots, average length of rootsand fresh weight of roots was also studied.
