LIMNOBOTANICAL INVESTIGATION OF LAKE PICHHOLA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO ALGAL BIODIVERSITY

摘要

A broad ecologicar investigation of Lake Pichhoia with special reference to algal biodiversity reveals the water bloom formation by Microcystis aeruginosa (a blue- green alga). The lake was investigated in respect of species composition of algae, During the investigation period, i.e., from March, '05 to February, '06 about 26 genera and 36 species were recorded from the study sites.
