The authors of the current article previously used standardized photographs based on reference anthropometric data for evaluation of reconstructive procedures of the eyelids and blepharoplasties. In this article, the authors evaluated eyelid deformities in 311 patients undergoing midface and orbital fracture treatment using photo-assisted anthropometric measurements that included nine parameters: eye fissure index, upper lid sulcus height, upper iris coverage, lower iris coverage, position of lower eyelid to lower iris, canthal tilt, scleral show, ectropion, and entropion. The contralateral side was used as a control in each patient. The authors demonstrated no significant association between the type of fractures and any of the evaluated parameters.
