Total Synthesis of (+)-Angelmarin

An efficient 8-step enantioselective total synthesis of (+)-angelmarin, starting from commercially available umbelliferone, has beenachieved. Key reactions include olefin cross-metathesis and a Shi epoxidation—cyclization sequence.
