摘要

System interoperability and network-centric warfare have become a priority in the U.S. Department of Defense. Joint Vision 2020 increasingly calls for more effective joint and coalition operations, requiring cooperative action by multiple systems. Consequently, there is a growing need to ensure that the systems in the field today and the new systems still in development are designed to work as part of a larger system of systems (SoS). These network-centric SoS not only need to be integrated and tested routinely during development and especially prior to deployment, but also when each system is added to the larger SoS or when existing systems are modified
