摘要

Optical bistable molecular systems have aroused considerable interest in recent years because of their significant potential applications in optical data storage. Especially, the recent progresses in optical techniques, such as fluorescence confocal microscopy, scanning near-field microscopy, and two-photon process technology, have further motivated the developments of photoresponsive materials because of their advantages in achieving higher storage density.
