Grey Modeling Method of Surface Topography Measurement Information

A novel modeling method based on grey system theory is put forward in this paper. The:primary sampling data of measured surface need not obey the typical distributions as usual, and therefore the surface comprehensive topography with less data can also be separated without losing primary information. The practical measurement for a 3-D component and 2-D roughness template show the method effective for separating the surface comprehensive topography errors, and the errors separated are well consistent with the standard Gaussian method which is widely used currently.
