Research on the Differences of the Leading Industries' Development and Energy Consumption Among China's Provinces Based on Grey Clustering

摘要

Energy efficiency is one of the basic problems in the regional economic development and the key to improve the regional economic system efficiency lies in reducing the energy consumption of leading industries according to the actual local situation. Grey clustering method is applied in this paper to classify China's provinces in accordance with the development of leading industries and the energy consumption, five typical grey areas are formed. On this basis, the differences of the development of leading industries and energy consumption among different areas are analyzed. Studies have shown that in the process of improving economic development level for most regions, structural changes of the economic development quality did not happen, and many provinces face the task to adjust economic structure and promote industrial technology.
