Grey Relational Analyzing the Optional Parametersof Welding Process Using Arc Signal

Many researchers have developed a wide range of mathematical methods forpredicting the weld strength by arc signals. However, these mathematical methods are toocomplex to have good use according to the complexity of welding. This paper addresses greyrelational analysis to analyze the arc signals. Results indicate that the pulse voltage is the mostimportant factor to the weld strength, optimal parameters can be found and the experiment alsoproved the conclusion. It was found that grey relational analysis is a good tool to find the mostimportant factor to the weld strength from the processing parameters, which can instruct theactual production.
