In order to estimate the fatigue life of components under random loading, two GM(1,1) models are presented: one is used to predict the unknown crack length with the aid of the preceding known experimental data, by using "rolling checking" method, in an "on-line monitoring way", to predict the next propagating crack length. Then the renewal ten experimental data are ready for the next prediction. The prediction would be proceeded until the growing length reaches the neighborhood of the critical value. Another one is that with the initial ten experimental data, the so-called "off-line" prediction is completed. Both models have shown the capability of GM(1,1) model on the mechanical fracture prediction.
