Harvesting different varieties of fresh fruit during the season sometimes meant we would have to move our harvesting crews to other blocks of fruit to meet the demand of our customers. When this event occurred, we would send the message to our harvesting crew leaders to "pull the ladders." With this, our harvesting people would be sent to another grove.
