We present three patients with isolated complete dislocations of the scaphoid who presented late. Their details are shown in Table 1. The surgical technique described by Szabo et al. (1995) for scapholunate and perilunate dislocations was used for all patients. This technique comprises open reduction, stabilization with Kirschner wires, and ligamentous repair of the carpal joints. Screws were used as a fixation device in two patients and an anchor was used in the third patient. A short arm splint was applied postoperatively and removed after 3 weeks. At 6 weeks the Kirschner wires were removed and the patients received intensive rehabilitation for a further 3 months. The pre- and post-operative radiographs of the second patient are shown (Figures 1-3).
