Cranes, trains and automobiles 2005 Australian Design Awards - Final Round Assessments

Nothing short of a challenge was one way to describe this year's Australian Design Awards - Final Round Assessments, involving more than 70 complex products and a record number of interstate, offsite inspections. Amongst these were the RONCO R6000, an articulated pick-up and carry crane for areas with limited access; Bombadier'sVLocity 160 DMU, a high-speed, self-powered diesel train for the Victorian rail system; and the Cox Stockman 2005 Lawn Tractor, a driver-controlled, self-propelled lawn cutting machine for Australia's harsh conditions.
