The requirement for environmental reporting and accountability is no new phenomenon in high impact industries such as mining, waste management and infrastructure development.Legislation, regulation, community and stakeholder expectation have in the past 20 years led to relatively extensive requirements for environmental management, and its appropriate documentation and verification in these industries.
