New national Standards strategy

AT ITS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING in Sydney on 12 November 2003, Standards Australia sought further industry and community participation in the development of a new national Standards strategy for Australia. The initiative comes in response to the pressures of globalisation and the increasing internationalisation of the Australian economy. The demand for global conformity assessment services is also driving the need for Standards organisations to improve their speed to market and responsiveness to industry.
