摘要

By intensive investigation and development of cutting temperature measurement, relatively simple and reliable records closely related to tool wear-tool life relationship were observed, yielding an accelerated method for machinability prediction. By measuring tool-work temperature an extended Taylor's functional relationship was determined. Experimental verification of results was done in face milling. The results were compared with the traditional method of tool life prediction.
