摘要

The three step synthesis of pentadecavanadate,(n-Bu_4N)_4[V_(15)O_(36)(Cl)] has been achieved by a stepwise growth process.The reaction of (n-Bu_4N)VO_3 with [(#eta#~3C_4H_7)PdCl_2] [{(#eta#~3C_4H_7)Pd}_2V_4O_(12)]~(2-).The thermal decompositon of [{(#eta#~3C_4H_7)Pd}_2V_4O_(12)]~(2-) leds to the formation of reduced species [V_(10)O_(26)]~(4-), which is then converted into a large cluster [V_(15)O_(36)(Cl)]~(4-).
