摘要

Vaginal bacterial microflora at Artificial Insemination (Al) was investigated in 15 synchronized Murrah buffalo. Single, two and three bacteria were isolated from 20%, 53.3% and 26.7% buffaloes respectively. 90.3 % bacterial isolates were micro/aerophilic and 9.7 % were strictly anaerobic. 7 (46.7%) buffalo had successful conception on Al. E. coli, Proteus spp, Clostridium spp and Bacteroides spp were exclusive to buffaloes that failed to conceive. Other Staphylococcus and Lactobacillus spp were exclusive to pregnant group. Staph, aureus and E. coli were associated to conception failure (P < 0.05). Proper management should be employed to limit effects of pathogenic vaginal bacteria at insemination.
