摘要

An experiment was conducted to assess toxicodynamic interaction of lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in liver and the ameliorative potential of N-acetyl - L — cysteine (NAC). The concentrations of GSH, GST, Na+/K+ and Mg2+ ATPases, and Cytochrome P450 weresignificantly (p<0.05) decreased. The concentration of TBARS, protein carbonyl, and serum ALT activity were significantly (p<0.05) increased in the toxic control groups (3 to 5) and toxic effects were more pronounced in group (5). NAC treated groups showed significant improvement in all the parameters.
