Effect of Some Non-Genetic Factors on Litter Traits in Crossbred Pigs

摘要

Litter traits viz. large litter size and litter weight at weaning increase profits of swine enterprise apart from allowing greater selection intensity for other traits. The litter traits are affected by various non-genetic factors like season of farrowing, parity of dam and period of farrowing. Hence, present investigation was carried out to study the non-genetic factors affecting the litter traits in crossbred pigs.
