Even though poisonous snakes are frequently encountered with malicious or accidental injuries, reports on management of such conditions are found to be scanty. The present paper discusses about the surgical management of various types of injuries in four rescued snakes. Two cases of female spectacled cobra (Naja naja), Rat snake (Ptyas mucosa) and a female Russell viper (Vipera russelli) rescued by the Forest Department, Tamil Nadu were presented at Teaching Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pondicherry with the following symptoms.
